Host a Course
Lawman’s Black Belt Academy partners with law enforcement agencies and training organizations to host courses at their facilities. Hosting a course allows agencies to provide quality defensive tactics training to their personnel while minimizing travel costs and increasing access to training.
Host agencies typically provide the training location and assist with local coordination. In return, host agencies may receive complimentary training seats for their instructors or personnel.
Hosting a course is an excellent way to bring realistic, defensive tactics training directly to your department while also opening the course to officers from surrounding agencies.

The academy recognizes two primary competitors within this training space:
- Gracie University, with its well-established Gracie Survival Tactics (GST) program.
- Effective Fitness Combatives (EFC), another prominent training provider with a strong law enforcement following.
In the future, the academy intends to expand into private contract courses, where agencies directly hire Lawman’s Black Belt Academy to provide customized on-site training for their personnel. This model will allow agencies to integrate our curriculum into their defensive tactics and in-service training programs while reducing travel costs and maximizing training hours.
